About Me
My love of sewing began at age fourteen in my Home Economics class at Litton Junior High School in Nashville. After graduation, I started working and when I received my first paycheck I went straight to the store to purchase a sewing machine for $89.00. I did not have a car or many clothes, but I did have a machine that brought me hours of joy while sewing for my niece and nephew. After marrying and having my own children, two daughters and a son, my interest in sewing never got old or boring. Upon completing one outfit, I would get excited about what I could make next.
My passion for designing and producing custom clothing really took off in December 2006 upon the birth of my only granddaughter, Hannah. I began piecing different patterns together to make unique, one-of-a-kind outfits. When Hannah would walk into a room, moms would ask my daughter, "Where did you get that outfit?". Other moms began asking if I could sew for them as well. From there, Snazzy Jazzy Kids was born. I was very excited to launch my first line of custom girl's clothing in 2008.
My passion for sewing is a gift that I do not take for granted. I find great joy in designing distinctive clothing for many precious little girls. When not with my own three grandbabies, I am teaching young moms to sew or I am out searching for fun and unusual fabrics that will make a little girl stand out in a crowd. I am constantly looking at the latest trends in children's clothing, and enjoy making my own designs that are even more unique. Each item I make is different, and my very own labor of love.
